Virtual Adult Treatment Programs

Virtual Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Adults

Here at Walden, we are proud to offer options for day programming (PHP) and day and evening programming (IOP) for adults on a virtual platform. That means eating disorder treatment comes to you – accessible via your smartphone or other in-home technology.

This is new territory for all of us. Although virtual programs are not the same as in-person care, they are proving to be easily accessible and allow for connectivity at a time when we all need it. These programs, like our in-person programs, have been designed to help adults develop or maintain their personal recovery goals.

Whether you are new to treatment or needing to refine your skills, we are here to provide you with the structure and support you need during the day or evening.

Virtual Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for Adults

In our virtual partial hospitalization program for adults, we will help you better understand the function of your eating disorder. This involves identifying the triggering thoughts and feelings that often lead to disordered behaviors. You will learn and practice skills designed to replace these behaviors and manage stress.

Primary Goals of PHP for Adults with Eating Disorders

  • Establish (or re-establish) normal patterns of eating
  • Understand and manage triggers
  • Interrupt and reduce the use of eating disorder behaviors

As part of our program, you will have a dedicated team of care professionals, including a dietitian, nurse practitioner, and therapist. Together, you will create personalized treatment plans and goals to help guide you on your path to recovery. You will meet twice weekly with your therapist and weekly once weekly with a dietitian and nurse practitioner.

Our PHP meets five days per week, Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM-2:30 PM.

Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Adults

There is a lot to juggle right now. Whether it is work, school or family, finding time for treatment might feel hard. We get it, which is why we have designed a flexible program that can work into your schedule today.

Our intensive outpatient program is a complement to the treatment you receive from your outpatient provider or team. Your current provider will help guide us in creating the best treatment plan for you, your unique needs and your recovery goals. If you do not currently have an outpatient team – that’s okay! One of our goals will be to help set you up with virtual providers in your area to help you continue your recovery after your time with us.
