A recent Op-Ed article, written by eating disorder survivor Ellen Ricks, was featured in the popular motherhood blog, HelloGiggles. In the piece, Ellen talks about the media’s unfair representation of eating disorders in many common pop culture movies and television series. Walden Behavioral Care’s own Emily Slager, Assistant Vice President of Clinical Operations in Massachusetts was quoted as an expert commentator discussing the harmful effects that perpetuating eating disorder myths can have on those seeking or receiving treatment.
